Trustmark is an organisation whose aim is to give the customer 'peace of mind'. The trustmark scheme does this by helping the customer to find reputable, reliable and trustworthy tradesmen. They are supported by the Government, building industry and consumer protection groups.
Tradesman who are registered with trustmark, undergo a series of checks. These checks include:
Assessing technical skills through regular on-site inspections
Checking trading records and financial status
Monitoring quality of work, trading practices and customer satisfaction
Ensuring they follow the code of practice, which includes having adequate insurance, following good health and saftey practices and providing a good standard of customer care
